The training program for student candidates under the Crown Prince’s International Scholarship Program has commenced for the upcoming year 2024. This program, held at the Bahrain Institute for Banking and Financial Studies (BIBF), encompasses various courses and events designed to enhance the skills of the candidates as part of the selection process for the annual scholarships awarded by the program.
Eva Garbett, the acting program director, warmly welcomed the student candidates and applauded their academic excellence, acknowledging their progress in becoming potential recipients of the program. She emphasized the vision of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in fostering the development of young individuals by empowering them through professional education and training initiatives.
In collaboration with BIBF, the Crown Prince’s International Scholarship Program organized an informative session for accepted students from both public and private schools. This session aimed to familiarize them with the details of the training courses that will be available during the summer and the upcoming academic year.
Garbett highlighted that the training program comprises a series of intensive courses and activities. These include intellectual criticism, academic writing skills, and a leadership skills development training program. Participants in the program will receive an accredited Certificate in Leadership from the renowned Chartered Management Institute (CMI L3 Certificate in Team Leading). Additionally, a personality assessment test will assist students in identifying suitable career paths. Special courses will also be provided to prepare students for the IELTS and SAT exams.
“These courses are intended to enhance students’ personal skills in leadership, communication, and academic abilities such as analysis, intellectual criticism, article writing, and research,” explained Garbett. She further elaborated that the selection of winners for the missions of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister will take place at the beginning of the new year. Factors considered in the selection process will include cumulative GPA, IELTS and SAT exam results, and performance in the intellectual criticism and leadership training course.
Garbett expressed her gratitude to the officials at BIBF for their continuous cooperation and praised the quality of training and educational programs offered by the institute. She extended her best wishes to the students, hoping they would have a successful and rewarding experience.
