“Said Salim Al Shanfari Elected as Inaugural Chairman of UFI Middle East and Africa

Said Salim Al Shanfari, CEO of Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre (OCEC), has been elected as the inaugural Chairman of the Middle East and Africa region for UFI, The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry. This significant appointment was announced by the Paris-based UFI earlier this week. As Chairman, Al Shanfari and his fellow candidates will undertake a three-year commitment, taking on important responsibilities to support the events and exhibition sector. This includes tasks such as conducting research, providing education, and offering assistance to UFI’s association members. UFI is a global association comprising over 800 members from 88 countries worldwide. It represents the leading trade show organizers, fairground owners, national and international exhibition associations, and selected partners in the exhibition industry.
