“Oman and Zanzibar Strengthen Bilateral Ties: Focus on Economic, Cultural, and Health Cooperation”
Muscat, Mar 10 (ONA) — A training workshop on relief and accommodation services was organised here today by the Relief and Shelter Sector, in cooperation with the Executive Office of the National Committee on Management of Emergency Cases.
The two-day refresher programme benefits 32 participants representing the Ministry of Social Development, the National Civil Defence Committee, Oman Charitable Organisation and Public Authority for Stores and Food Reserve.
The workshop comes within the motto of “My Wilayat Is Ready”, which is an initiative that supports national efforts for achieving flexibility and societal preparedness to provide relief aid to stricken segments during crises, said Dr. Yahya bin Badr al-Ma’awali, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Social Development, Head of the Relief and Accommodation Sector.
The Relief and Shelter Sector comprises the Ministry of Social Development, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Higher Education, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Regional Municipalities and Water Resources, the Ministry of Sports Affairs, Muscat Governorate, Royal Oman Police, Oman Charitable Organisation and Public Authority for Stores and Food Reserve.
