Muscat: The Public Establishment for Industrial Estates – Madayn, represented by Madayn Industrial Academy, organised on Sunday a workshop on the contemporary challenges in management and how to overcome them at Hormuz Grand Muscat.
The workshop was held under the auspices of Hilal bin Hamad Al Hasani, chief executive officer of Madayn, and with the participation of CEOs and DGs of entities and administration units under Madayn.
The workshop, which was moderated by Dr Khamis Al Muniri, Executive Director at Madayn Industrial Academy, focused on three topics related to management and its challenges. The first topic highlighted agile culture, human-centric development and how to deal with complex environments and requirements, and the waterfall approach, its disadvantages and how agile development can help. The first topic also covered product management methods, design thinking, lean start-up, as well as an overview of scrum and agile.
The second topic of the workshop underscored data fusion and artificial intelligence for business success. Taking into consideration that the increasing amount of information available motivates the adoption of data fusion and machine learning methods for addressing specific industrial requirements and needs, the second topic addressed the concept of data fusion and dealing with uncertainty, how data fusion can help in a variety of situations, and what is needed to successfully employ data fusion in businesses.
