“Oman and Zanzibar Strengthen Bilateral Ties: Focus on Economic, Cultural, and Health Cooperation”

The Directorate General of Customs of the Royal Oman Police organised a workshop on electronically linking Bayan system and port management companies in Sohar, Salalah, Duqm, Port Sultan Qaboos and a number of handling companies, recently.
It was held in the presence of the Implementation Support and Follow-up Unit and Oman International Logistics Group (Asyad) officials.
Col Khalifa bin Ali al Siyabi, director general of customs, inaugurated the workshop with a speech explaining the most important facilities and electronic services provided by the Directorate General of Customs through Bayan system.
He also called on the ports management companies in the sultanate and handling and shipping companies to take advantage of these facilities, cooperation and integrated work to achieve all electronic linking operations.
Lt Col Mansour al Rahbi, project manager, Bayan, explained the possibility of improving the integration process with port operators and the electronic link between them.
Lt Col Rahbi added how the linking will help achieve quality and speed in providing services to importers and exporters, making the sultanate a suitable destination for trade exchange operations and also achieve competitiveness in the field of logistics.
A discussion session to explain all the details related to the electronic facilities with Bayan system and electronic linkage mechanism with the ports management companies in the sultanate was also held.
