Muscat – Sulayem bin Ali bin Sulayem al Hakmani, Chairman of the Consumer Protection Authority (CPA), spearheaded the launch of several information technology projects at the CPA Headquarters’ Directorate General of Administrative and Financial Affairs.
Among these initiatives are a remote attendance system accessible via smartphones, an office phone application tailored for inspectors, and a business intelligence indicators system in the training sector. These projects represent innovative solutions for human resources management, aligning with Oman Vision 2040’s focus on governance and institutional performance.
Khalid bin Isa bin Salem al Ameri, Director General of Administrative and Financial Affairs stated, “The CPA has launched the attendance system application via smartphones to ensure efficiency and enhance the e-government development index. The smartphone attendance system is a successful tool that simplifies attendance documentation and data management for employees. The application, which is active only within the boundaries of the CPA Headquarters and its departments in the governorates, contributes to better time management and overall performance improvement.”
“Moreover, this application ensures convenience and flexibility in recording employees’ attendance and departure effectively and innovatively, replacing traditional methods such as fingerprinting or smart cards,” Al Ameri added.
The Business Intelligence Indicators Program enhances employee data analysis, program management, and access to statistics, fostering improved organisational performance and facilitating communication between employees and HR departments.
