The Supreme Judicial Council today organized a ceremony during which 20 second-class public prosecutors took the oath of office. The ceremony was held under the auspices of Sayyid Mohammed Sultan Al Busaidi, Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council, and attended by Attorney General Nasr Khamis Al Sowa’ee.
The oath taking process was in implementation of the text of Article (11) of the Public Prosecution Law, promulgated by Royal Decree No. (92/99) that outlines procedures regulating the public prosecutors’ induction into the judicial system and the officials’ assuming their mandate to apply the laws with full justice and impartiality.
Al Busaidi urged the judiciary to undertake maximum efforts and harness their capabilities towards serving justice, adhere to the judicial instructions regulating the workflow and expand their knowledge and expertise through ongoing learning and training.
