The Assistant Speaker of the Shura Council, Dr. Hanan bint Abdulrahim Al-Ahmadi, had a meeting with the Canadian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mélanie Joly, at the Council’s headquarters in Riyadh.
During the meeting, Dr. Al-Ahmadi welcomed the Canadian minister and discussed the Shura Council’s legislative and oversight role with her.
She highlighted the council’s active role in parliamentary diplomacy and its impact in developing and strengthening relations with councils and parliaments, enriching parliamentary work, and fostering cooperation.
The meeting covered several topics of common interest and cooperation between the two countries. The discussion included parliamentary relations between the Shura Council and the Canadian Parliament and various topics in different fields.
