The revenues of 3 to 5-star hotels in the Sultanate of Oman witnessed a remarkable increase, reaching OMR 229.256 million by the end of 2023, reflecting a 23.4% growth compared to OMR 185.772 million at the end of 2022.
According to statistics from the National Center for Statistics and Information, this surge can be attributed to a 27.1% rise in the total number of hotel guests, reaching 2,071,169 guests by the end of 2023, compared to 1,629,205 guests at the end of 2022. The occupancy rate also saw an 8.8% growth.
The data further reveals a 10% increase in the number of Omani guests, totaling 769,790 guests. Additionally, Gulf guests rose by 23.8% to 198,489 guests, European guests increased by 43.6% to 517,278 guests.
Guests from the Americas numbered 57,752, while African guests reached 11,670, marking a growth rate of 29.2%. Asian guests increased by 35.2%, totaling 297,270 guests, and guests from Oceania surged by 133.8% to 44,726.
