(ONA) — The Special Economic Zone at Duqm (SEZAD) continues attracting tourism-related economic development projects. Accordingly, today saw the opening of the three-star Royal Plaza Hotel.
The opening ceremony was held under the auspices of Sheikh Ahmed Musallam Al Kathiri, Governor of Al Wusta.
Royal Plaza Hotel includes 68 rooms, divided into 26 standard rooms and various service facilities.
Younis Khamis Al Barashdi, Chairman of the hotel’s Board, said “Situated in Saay Commercial District at the Special Economic Zone at Duqm, the Hotel is built on a total area of approximately 5,600 square meters. The Hotel was opened to meet the needs of Duqm’s hospitality sector and accommodation facilities. This, in turn, will help boost tourism and fulfill the growing demand for business in the region.”
