“Oman and Zanzibar Strengthen Bilateral Ties: Focus on Economic, Cultural, and Health Cooperation”
The group has spent a total of $172.53 million US dollars on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) until the third quarter of the current year, of which $56.99 million US dollars is allocated for SMEs holding entrepreneurship cards.
This comes as part of the group’s plans to enhance local value-added in line with government efforts, achieving the goals of the “Oman 2040” vision. It also reflects the group’s commitment to promoting local value-added as one of its strategies in its investments, operations, and activities to enrich and support local markets, products, and small and medium-sized enterprises.
The group has also given special attention to Omani products by establishing regulations that contribute to boosting purchases of Omani products, providing a purchase price preference of up to 10 percent and allocating specific Omani products in contracts and purchases. The expenditure on products manufactured in the Sultanate of Oman amounted to approximately $122.41 million US dollars.
