(QNA) – Qatar News Agency (QNA) launched at its headquarters Sunday a five-day training course under the title “Editing and Media Monitoring”, as part of a series of training courses organized by QNA to train national media cadres and raise their efficiency in specialized media and journalism fields.
The course aims to develop and improve the skills of relevant employees in various government institutions, and provide them with the necessary tools and knowledge in editing and media monitoring, in addition to training participants on monitoring and analyzing news reports published and circulated in all forms of media.
Topics of the training course address many important aspects in the field of editing and media monitoring, including goals and methods of media monitoring, and monitoring and analyzing various media outlets and extracting indicators and results. The course will include a practical training on writing specialized reports and analyzing press trends.
At the end of the course, the trainees will present graduation projects by producing information material for media monitoring, in order to asses the extent of benefit from this qualitative training in QNA.
Editing and media monitoring is considered an important specialty in light of the rapid advancement of media and technology. Understanding and analyzing information and media content is vital for any institution aiming to make strategic decisions based on an accurate reading of the media and public reality. This intensive training course will contribute significantly to improving participants abilities in this important aspect of media work.
